Ganderbal, Dec 12 (KNO): A surprise inspect at the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal by the Deputy Commissioner of the district on Saturday found that six doctors including the Medical Superintendent of the hospital were absent from the duty “without any reason.”
As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the doctors who were found absent include Dr. Salma Bhat, Medical Superintendent SDH Kangan, Shabir Ahmad Rather, Consultant Physician, Dr. Jibrial Ahmad Rather, Consultant Ophthalmologist, Dr. Feroz Ahmad, Consultant Surgeon,Dr. Sajaj Ashraf Kakroo, Consultant Orthopedic and Dr. Rihana, Medical Officer.
An official said on Saturday afternoon DDC Ganderbal conducted a surprise inspection of Trauma Hospital/SDH Kangan and six doctors including an MS were found absent from duties “without any leave or a reason.”
The DDC while taking the strong note of the issue sought reasons for the absence from the doctors stating that “The act invites disciplinary action under J&K CSR. Therefore before taking any disciplinary action, you are directed to explain your position within two days failing which action as warranted under rules shall be initiated against you.”—(KNO)
